We just realized that Summer’s passport expires mid next year. That may not seem like a problem since we will be back before it expires, but it is. Most countries require your passport to be good for a minimum of 6 months after the date in which you plan on entering their country even if you only plan on staying for a few weeks. This means that to enter Costa Rica in April like we plan on, her passport would need to be valid through October which it is not. We have plenty of time to get the new one by mail without even paying the expedite fees. Just glad we realized this early, and sent the renewal off, before It cost us a bunch of extra fees to get it back in time.
